Alison is a fully registered clinical psychologist and a board-approved supervisor. Alison has completed a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Applied Psychology, gaining specialist endorsement as a clinical psychologist. Alison has experience working within the Health Department of Western Australia, community private practice, and not-for-profit services.

Alison works primarily with children, adolescents, and parents with a specific area of interest in child development. Alison enjoys working with presentations of emotional dysregulation, mild to moderate generalised anxiety, separation anxiety, depression, behavioural issues, school related concerns, social and emotional delay, attention and concentration difficulties, attachment issues, family conflict, and the individuation process for adolescents. Alison has also been trained in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder in children.

Alison strives for excellence in all aspects of her clinical work with a therapeutic approach that is attachment focussed and person centred in nature. Alison works collaboratively with her client’s family to promote secure internal relationships. This framework supports her families to face challenges together and equips its members to identify, understand, and meet the emotional needs of each other, which are often masked behind confusing and/or unhealthy behaviours.

Alison has experience in a variety of treatment models including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), brief solution focused therapy, and attachment theory.
