Allana primarily works with older adolescents, adults, and couples facing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, and adjustment concerns.

Allana works with a person-centred focus, tailoring her approach to the client’s beliefs, attitudes, insight, and life stage. She hopes to build a genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship as she believes this is an essential component to making positive change and empowering those she works alongside. In working with a non-judgmental and accepting approach, Allana ensures clients feel safe, respected, and supported in exploring and addressing their difficulties. Allana is passionate in assisting clients to overcome hardships and instilling hope and enthusiasm for the future.

Allana is experienced in several therapeutic approaches, however her primary framework is schema therapy. Schema therapy is an advanced type of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), integrated with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) strategies. Schema therapy addresses self-defeating emotional, behavioural, and cognitive patterns that begin early in development and repeat throughout life. Through comprehensive assessment and various experiential techniques, Allana helps clients to identify their emotional needs, learn strategies that promote emotional safety, and build a stronger sense of self.

Allana holds her registration with the Australian Board of Psychology and is a proud member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
